Other Industrial Heaters
Sometimes a Veltron infrared diesel heater isn’t the right fit for your building or job. That’s when other types of industrial heater come in. On this page you can see the main direct oil, indirect oil, infrared (non-Veltron), gas and electric fan heaters you can choose from, and how each one can help you keep your space warm and safe.
All of these heaters are chosen for hard, everyday use in farms, warehouses, workshops and construction sites, with clear advice to help you pick the right type and size.
Direct Oil Space Heaters
Direct oil heaters give you large volumes of instant heat and are best for open or well-ventilated areas such as factories, warehouses and construction sites. They blow warm air straight into the space, so they are not for sealed rooms, but they are very effective where there is plenty of fresh air.
Featured Heater: Arcotherm GE36 Direct Oil Fired Heater
The Arcotherm GE36 is a tough, mobile direct oil-fired heater designed for localised heating in busy work areas.
What you get:
Strong, direct warm air for fast heat-up
39 kW output with high thermal efficiency for low fuel waste
42-litre built-in fuel tank for long run times
Dual-voltage power supply and wheels with handle for easy moving around site
Best for:
Well-ventilated workshops, loading bays, barns and construction areas that need quick, powerful heat during cold spells.
Other direct oil heater options include the Arcotherm GE46, GE65 and GE105, giving you higher outputs for bigger, draughtier spaces and longer duct runs where needed.
Indirect Oil Heaters
Indirect oil heaters give you 100% clean, dry, fume-free warm air by burning fuel inside a heat exchanger and blowing only clean air into the space. They are ideal when you need warm air in areas with limited ventilation, such as event tents, food preparation spaces and enclosed work areas. Warm air can be ducted to where it’s needed.
Featured Heater: Arcotherm EC55 Indirect Oil Fired Heater
The Arcotherm EC55 is a highly popular indirect diesel heater used widely for marquees, events, warehouses and construction sites.
What you get:
Around 51 kW of clean, fume-free warm air, safe for enclosed spaces
65-litre fuel tank giving up to around 12 hours of use per fill
High airflow to push warm air through ducting into the spaces you need to heat
Stainless steel combustion chamber, heavy-duty burner and full safety controls
Best for:
Marquees, events, workshops, warehouses and other enclosed areas where you must keep fumes out of the heated air.
For bigger sites and larger temporary structures, higher-output indirect options such as the Arcotherm EC85 / E85 can be supplied, giving you more heat and airflow for large halls, big marquees and large industrial units.
Non-Veltron Infrared Heaters
Not every location needs a Veltron heater. Other infrared heaters can offer low-noise, low-draft heating for spaces where you want quiet, even warmth and very clean burning. Infrared heaters warm surfaces and people first, rather than just heating the air, which can be useful in draughty or high-roofed spaces.
Featured Heater: Airrex AH-300i Infrared Heater
The Airrex AH-300i is a best-selling fuel-fired infrared heater designed for industrial halls, stables, workshops, tents and public spaces.
What you get:
Infrared heat with no visible smoke and no burning smell
Very low noise level and no fan blowing dust around
Heat that spreads evenly in all directions and feels comfortable even close to the unit
Castor wheels for easy movement and no fixed installation required
It can also run on low-carbon biodiesel, helping you cut emissions while keeping your building warm. Fuel use is low compared to many traditional heaters.
Best for:
Insulated halls, stables, workshops, event spaces and other areas where clean, quiet, even heat is important.
Other infrared options include the Airrex AH-200i and Airrex AH-800i for different space sizes, the MASTER XL 9 E/S radiant heater for directed, low-draft spot heating and the Wilms VAL 9 infrared oil heater for robust, targeted warmth in open halls, sheds and outdoor work areas.
Propane / Butane Gas Heaters
Gas heaters give you large volumes of instant warm air from propane or butane cylinders. They are very cost-effective and portable, but must be used only in well-ventilated areas because they release combustion products into the space. They work well for temporary heating on sites and in big, open buildings.
Featured Heater: MASTER BLP 53 / 73 Gas Heater
The MASTER BLP 53 / 73 is a popular portable gas heater for site and warehouse use.
What you get:
Instant warm air output soon after start-up
Simple controls and built-in safety features
Strong, powder-coated body to handle daily use
Regulator and gas hose supplied for easier setup
Best for:
Well-ventilated factories, warehouses and construction sites where you need fast, flexible heat and have access to gas cylinders.
Electric Fan Heaters
Electric fan heaters provide clean, dry, fume-free heat with no on-site fuel storage. They are fully portable, easy to use and ideal for temporary or emergency heating in smaller or medium-sized rooms where you want simple plug-in warmth.
Featured Heater: MASTER B 22 EPB Electric Heater
The MASTER B 22 EPB is a robust, portable electric fan heater for workshops, stores and on-site rooms.
What you get:
100% efficient electric heat with no fumes, smells or humidity
Built-in room thermostat and overheat protection
Stainless steel heating elements and thermally protected motor
Quiet operation and simple, plug-in setup (power requirements depend on model)
Best for:
Workshops, garages, small warehouses, site cabins and indoor spaces where fuel-fired heaters are not suitable.
Not Sure Which Heater Option Is Right for You?
It can be hard to know whether you need direct, indirect, infrared, gas or electric heating, especially when you’re thinking about ventilation, fuel, running costs and comfort.
Instead of guessing, you can simply tell Perry Equipment:
What building you want to heat (size, type and how draughty it is)
How often you need to use the heater
What fuel and power you have available on site
Whether you need clean, fume-free air or can use direct heaters in open areas
You’ll then get a clear, honest recommendation on whether a Veltron infrared diesel heater or one of these other heater types is the best fit, along with options to buy, hire and service your equipment – so you keep your people, animals and buildings warm without wasting money on the wrong solution.
